I have seen myself asking Mrs G first thing in the morning what does she fancy for dinner and I'll pick something up on the way home. She thinks this is bizarre as I'm just up and she's not even thinking that far ahead.

Think I might have a problem. I also want to start a thread every day about what's for dinner but have to stop myself. xx(

I love my dinner............ and my lunch........ and my dinner....... and my breakfast............and my dinner

Well, if you were eating at Chez Wafflycat this evening you'd be having a beef casserole (using beef from the freezer, onions, carrots, celery, beef stock, + some bits & bobs) with herb dumplings, savoy cabbage & broccoli. If MrWC & WCMnr desire, I'll make some sweet mincemeat puffs to have with either custard or cream as a dessert. I've always got a store cupboard full of *stuff* where I can do a meal at short notice.

"When do you start thinking about dinner"

Shortly after breakfast....

Nah, actually, I tend to have a lot of stuff in, and I cook whatever variation of that stuff I fancy, as and when - sometimes I won;t entirely decided what I'm having until I'm standing in the kitchen chopping an onion. So I'm fairly spontaneous, but not in an expensive way. Also, if I see something reduced to clear, I'll snaffle that up...

And sometimes, sausage can be so disappointing. Especially if it's not really meaty.
I suppose you wouldn't even want sausage every day.
Toujours perdrix perhaps?

Isn't dinner a bit like sex , seldom far from ones thoughts

I think about food even more than sex...

On tonight's menu is vegetable stew with dumplings and I'm also cooking tomorrow night's tea of lentil shepherds pie as well.
