The bike I have at present has SHIMANO RSX / Rim Rigida wheels on both front and rear. As its my first real road bike I was wondering if they are any good and how hard is it to replace the wheels? I know the front one wont be hard but the rear one will need the gear cogs taken off etc. how easy/hard is that?

How many sprockets are on the back? It looks like the model name RSX has been used for both freewheels and freehubs.

Assuming more modern freehub with a cassette, you need a chainwhip, wrench and cassette tool (such as this one - must be Shimano as the Campag ones have different splines).

Haven't used the Rigida Rims but they look to be at the bottom end of the market. Try the Aksiums or Fulcrum Racing 7's for a slight improvement and be prepared to spend £200+ for a really noticeable upgrade.

Check on eBay as you can sometimes get better deals.

Changing the cassette is easy -unscrew the lockring with the right tool and the old cassette will pull out sprocket by sprocket.Reverse the process on the new wheel.
