have a Merida scultura 903 , decent bike but find the wheels a tad heavy especially uphill. Any recommendations that are sensibly priced ?

Hello, I think a part of the forum such as the Technical Know How section would be more apt, as, I don't really know myself, sorry.

Yeah define "sensible" for a start.

The Fulcrum range does however have some excellent wheels at a wide range of prices...I'd imagine they will have something to suit most pockets.

I thought there was negligible gain from saving weight at the rim...

Come on 'bp' - stop being deliberately obtuse. A good pair of tyres is probably the cheapest, most beneficial change you can make to a bike.

Just teasing, to a point, as a nod to the other thread. Although there are similarities to the argument in fairness.

I happen to agree, that tyres make a big difference, but then I also thought wheels did too.

Let's not go there though.
