Is £300 deemed cheap?

Well, it's not a lot when you want light and strong.

Mavic Kysirium are very popular with many riders and I think they are good for the money but I have heard they are expensive and difficult to fix when they go wrong. They are difficult to rebuild to "as new" condition hence wheel builders don't like sticking their reputation on something they cannot rebuild to their satisfaction (time constrains I guess). I'm not trying to put you off but it's nice to know what you are getting into.

For some people this is not an issue, they have enough money to go and buy a new set but not everybody is that lucky  .

The other question is: are you light enough for these wheels?

Good luck.

If you've got the spare cash, unfortunately I've not  I've got decent wheels now but there something satisfying in beating someone on their £1000 carbon/zipp rims  but then somebody comes along on their shopping bike and destroys you
