Wheels - which set?

I'm looking at wheels.

Been riding on my Reynolds Alta Race for 18 months and have recently had a spate of spokes snapping on me (wheel goes immediately out of true) rendering me immobile and having to call a disgruntled Mrs G out to rescue me.

So - the shortlist:-

Mavic Ksyrium Elite 08
Mavic Cosmic Elite 08
Easton EA70
Reynolds Solitude

Budget is £300 and the wheels need to be fairly tough for training rides, commuting and the odd sportive.

Thoughts, recommendations & experience welcome!!

you could always get your current set re-spoked (stainless steel double butted??) but I guess it depends on the condition of the rims/hubs. My LBS re spokes for around £28 plus cost of spokes, or you could try wheelbuilding yourself...

from that list I'd have the ksyriums - the cosmic elites look nice but weigh a couple of ton

each


i'd also add campag zonda's to that list though.....

I have ksirium elites on my good bike and cannot fault them.
