New wheels and tyres just fitted and both make a sound like they are rubbing on something. I have checked brake and frame and computer clearance but nothing. I can't replicate the noise on the stand but as soon as a ride there it is. I have changed the wheels and tyres back and I don't get the sound, the new wheels are true and the tyre pressure is between the figures stamped on them, both wheels make this noise.

Type of wheel ? If MTB are the tyres simply knobblier than you last ones and rumbling on the road ?

I got that on one bike which had only a small clearance at the front with a 25c tyre on. I concluded that my weight was flexing the steel fork blades enough to take up that clearance. Changing to a 23c tyre sorted it out.

How much clearance do your troublesome tyres have?
