wheels and tyres ...help please?

after picking up my road bike from my mothers back bedroom, after 20 years storage !!! a quick check over , air in the tyres, off i went 10 miles later and i swear i dont remember the tyres being so thin?narrow . my question is this ..bearing in mind that they are 20 yrs old but in good condition based on the information i can find on them does this seem like a good combination shimano 105 wheels with panaracer tecnova 700x200 tyres ....can i fit wider tyres to these rims ? i know this may seem a silly question to some but hey we all need to learn ....thanks

Hallo and welcome to Cyclechat, 700x200 doesn't sound quite right, I think you may mean 700c x 20. To answer your question I would suggest a quick look at this page which will probable tell you more that you ever though there was to know about tyre and wheel sizing. Hope that helps...
