hi folks
looking into the possibility of upgrading the wheels on my Triban 3 for the summer, mainly due to the responses on here about poor quality wheels on the T3.
So I am looking at the Shimano RS10 ( google search £96) or Fulcrum 7 2012 (google search £110) cant really afford any more than tha,t neither would i want to.

Anyone got any recommendations around the 100 quid price range?

thanks

Got the Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels 2 yrs ago, excellent for the price, really responsive and minimal comparative flex.
Medium depth rims with aero spokes and sealed bearings.
Look the biz too

I really like them

I have the RS10 on the bike in my picture. Find them more than adequate. Quite round too which comes in useful.

I fitted pro-lite braccianos to my Triban 3 and noticed little difference other than the weight to be honest. I ride the same routes constantly and analyse my data and I am no faster with them, even if I was 0.2 mph faster I would have noticed but I'm not. The only difference is that they are 900g lighter but that's it. I wish I'd saved the money and put it towards a better bike.

Just my opinion/experience.

Well I am 82kg so the bike going from almost 11kg to just under 10kg is really only about a 1% difference of total weight. And that doesn't mean you'll be 1% faster either as weight only really helps going up hills. On the flat it's about total power.

My issue with the Tb wheels were the spokes that started to rust after only a couple of wet rides and the hub bearings that felt as round as a 50p. Am I any faster on the new wheels though- who knows....

ive been looking on the triban thread and found a lot of people have gone for the shimano R501 which are quite appealing as they are only 85 quid. anyone got any views on these.

I rode on my Pro-Lite wheels for the 1st time yesterday, not going to blather on and spout lots of buzz words, but what I will say is, I am glad I spent the money on them!
