Wheel upgrade Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLS

Thinking of upgrading my Wheel set that came on my CUBE. They are the Mavic Aksium's and although very good as an entry level wheel i believe i the time is right to get a much better set.
Somebody i know has a set of the Mavic Cosmic carbone SLS on his Ridley and they look so good and believe they roll superbly. I know they are expensive but i am thinking that they will be well worth the money and give me plenty of good years service, also i have been told that Mavic have got this offer on for an extra £1 they guarantee to replace any broken wheel straight away but not 100 percent on this point.

Anybody got a set of these wheels or anybody with any views on these or other similar wheels.

Cheers Marmion, I've seen these but they have got the Campaq hubs and i want to stick to Shimano to be honest, thanks anyway mate.

I think you can get a "something" to make them compatible with shimano, as I have seem people mention that it is possible. Although I may be wrong.

Are they the 50mm clincher one's if so I'd like a pair of them but the weight is no difference to the Bontrager's Race I have.. let us know how you get on in your search?

They are the 50mm clinchers mate, I think they look really well on my mates bike and he raves about the performance. I'm not to worried about weight as I'm not a racing snake myself , I want something that rolls well when I put the power down.

I was thinking of the overland speed rather than sprinting type speed? Interesting.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, i have just been to a LBS and the guy there said he would buy the Mavic Ksyrium sls rather

than the Cosmic Cabone sls as he says that the 50 mm rims will hinder me rather than help like the Ksyrium sls will.Must say they look so nice and light as a feather.

Both look nice wheels.. shame they dont tell you when they are going to have a sale.
