Hi,

I think I want to upgrade my Wheelset for something better. The current wheels are just Whytes own brand and I've read a few reviews saying they aren't the best.

I have Mavic Ksyrium Elites on my carbon (non disc) summer bike and I like how they ride so was thinking about getting the disc equivalent. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Hunt Bike Wheels' Mason x Hunt 4 Seasons Discs. 1585g, handbuilt, QR & through axle compatible, tubeless ready (valves included in pack, along with spare spokes, spoke key, etc), £349. Josh Ibbett their product manager used a set on his Transcontinental Race win. Rave reviews. Having bought a set, I can only agree...

The disc equivalent of Ksyrium Elites is the Ksyrium Pro Disc which costs in excess of £500. Assuming this is a dodgy weather/winter bike I wouldn't be looking much higher than Aksium Disc, unless a bargain pair of Ksyrium Disc were found. Factor in if you need to buy new discs, tyres and cassette also

These though http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kinesis-crosslight-disc-v3-roadcx-wheelset/ roughly equal to the Ksyrium with the weight of the Pro

Absolutely no reason with disc wheels to keep 'best' away from dodgy weather etc. Any of the choices above will be fine after being covered in grot, time after time. Those Crosslight V3s are a bit of a bargain, probably because they've just been replaced by the tubeless ready V4s.

I was looking at the Crosslight V3 but the V4 also appears to be the same price but heavier? https://www.merlincycles.com/kinesis-crosslight-cx-disc-wheelset-v4-2016-87507.html

Confused...
