I'm trying to save my rear rim brake mtb cup and cone wheel , I was truing it then saw that the dishing was all over the place so I made a dishing gauge and loosened all the spokes and started from the beginning, this wheel is just on a cheap runabout bike and all it has to do is be rideable not be perfect.

I have lateral , radial and dishing problems on it , which order should I start correcting these ?

I am doing the corrections in the frame as I don't have a wheel jig yet.

I would sort the dishing out first, then the lateral followed by the radial, but you may have to tweak lateral and radial at the same time.
I have built a lot of wheels with one of these home made wooden jigs, the plans are on the Internet somewhere.
