As if it matters, but in the interest of fashion, do peeps here prefer black rims or natural metal/silver colour?
(I assume nobody would want chrome rims anymore)

Personally I prefer black.
But I think it depends on the colour and style of the bike.

Against my carbon frame - definitely black. Especially as everything else on the bike is black - seatpost, stem, bars etc.
However, on a steel framed bike with bare alloy seatpost stem etc. then silver. Particularly if you are going for the more retro look.

Gary.

Silver - front
Black - back
The front is a replacement after I totalled the original wheel in a crash..
Looks a liitle odd... but I like it

Never really thought about it before, but glancing around the collection all of mine have black rims, so there must be something subliminal going on there.

Black for me then.

Both for me as Black dose not look good with some colour/stile of frame and vice verser.

Ambrosio 'self-colour - 'silver'
Swapped those for some Khamsins in black - neat.
Destroyed the rear hub somehow and now I have a mix - black front and silver rear.
But.
In the box are some G-o-l-d Khamsins :becool::smile::smile::smile:
The other pair are Fulcrum - red and black with a touch of silver...

Black on the MTB's

Silver on the roadies.

Although on the C40 the rims are red and that looks very good and matches in with the rest of the frame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never owned a bike with black rims so will go with silver/metal. I still have two bikes with chrome wheels. If nicely polished up, they are a thing of beauty in my eyes. They just teach you to ride with a little anticipation in the rain...
