Wheel out of true????

Hi,

On my cycle into work this morning I discovered that the brake pad is rubbing quite a lot of the right side of the front wheel, but it only appears to rub at one certain part of the wheel (near the air valve) does this mean the wheel is 'out of true'? (not totally sure what this means to be honest!) If so how do I fix it?

By a spoke spanner. They only cost pence. Then buy a general cycling book which for years will keep you clued up on how to deal with such small jobs. There are lots of good ones around but my favourite because it is clear, sensible and well illustrated is Bicycle Technology by Rob van den Plas.
