11 books to go. - we will be debating 15 speed rear cassettes when I finish !!!

Books are so much better than the TV series. Keep with the books, you get a bit of a lull in the middle of the series, but then it kicks up a notch again and the last book is brilliant.

I enjoyed the first few books, then ran out of steam, possibly in the lull. Not sure I ever finished it. That was some years ago. Hope you enjoy it!

Worth getting through the lull

as with a lot of books it has a chance to go into details and character build up that the films cannot do

but the TV series are sometime more of a "based on the idea of the book and using some names from it" at times
but the basics are there

I started the book series years ago but got bored in the 'lull' as well. I keep meaning to have another go. Saw a bit of the TV version and didn't think much of it.
