They might have meant that the spline takes a campag cassette, any road sized skewers should be ok.
 
They are Campagnolo (looks very like Zonda to my eye) hubs with a Shimano freehub (Shimano 9 splines Campagnolo 8 splines).

As such they will only work with Shimano cassette and Shimano shifters- no other problems though.

If you have Campagnolo shifters then you can buy a Campagnolo freehub to fit (I think around £70 or shop around on ebay)

or

Ambrosio do a nice line in cassettes made for mixing makes - I have one on my Hed rear wheel which is the same as yours and works really well with my Campy shifters.

Thanks so much for that, if you look at some of my other recent posts I've been scratching my head about BB91 compatibility with Campy groupsets and then it turns out I had Shimano freehub all along! Just when I had eyed up a cheap supplier of the BB91 to Ultra Torque adapter cups.
But the good thing is it makes it easier and cheaper now for me to buy the tools.
