I have always thought you cant over tighten spokes , that the nipple would thread or round first.

But on my Aksiums which constantly need trueing, after tightening NDS the wheel is not centred in the frame and if I loosen NDS I still cant tighten DS to pull the wheel into centre as they seem to be at the limit of tightening , only thing I can think of is that the nipples are seized on DS.

If I just loosen NDS then it centres but the NDS is so loose that the spokes start to turn and loosen even further.

No but I am 15 stone and they have 4000 miles at least on them .

NDS constantly loosen and I keep tightening them up but last time I had changed to 25c tyre from 23c and the tyre was really close to the frame on NDS so tried to centre it but was unable.

Think they may need a re spoke... using new spokes !

My favourite job, not, easy to true but really hard to get equal tension , local wheel builder with a great reputations hates these types of wheels also.
