the wheel spindle cones and bearings have gone on my dahon rear wheel, so has the cone in one side of the hub.
the wheel is good apart from that.
the hub is alum so the cone is obviously a press fit into it so i cant see that it would be a difficult job to replace, but where can they be obtained?

You need to check whether the races in the hub have also gone - if so then the whole lot will need replacing.

If it is just the cones then I'd pop along to the LBS and see if they have anything similar.

I think the OP means the races have gone, he's just got the terminology wrong, talking about the "cone in one side of the hub." when he means race. Races, IME, aren't generally replaceable (although some Campag hubs have replaceable races I believe)

Both cones as well as the drive side cup of cup and cone cassette rear hubs are generally replaceable, because the drive side cup is generally part of the freehub, and the freehub is generally replaceable. However minor brand freehubs can be hard to source new because of poor support service policy.
