evening all just a quickey..i just came across this stuff on ebay and just wanted to know your views on it?..i always carry two spare tubes on my commute but thought this may help and save hastle if i do get a punture?,,thanks alot...dean,,,,,

Yeah it's great, let's you get rid of the wheels too. Total hindrance. Make sure you get it in yellow though, don't want to clash with the things.

I think he was being sarcastic because nobody had the faintest clue what this mystery 'stuff' was.

I can't comment on Slime, as I've never used it. However, my Specialized All Condition Armadillo Elites did me something like 5000-6000 commuting miles without a single puncture.

Oh, and one other thing, if you ride where the car tyres go rather than hugging the kerb, you'll also experience far fewer punctures, as the cars 'sweep' the road by pinging all the nasty stuff into the gutter.

I used slime on a MTB after pulling a thorn out of my back tyre and it going flat. You should use it before the puncture but I was in a hurry so stuck some in and used garage airline to inflate and then forgot about it for over 1000 miles with no problems. I also tried the pre filled 700c tubes but they have a lot higher pressure and more trouble than they are worth.
