I try to carry out things in the normal manner for me that I did when having some good results, such as put the right shoe on first, porridge for breakfast, leave the house by the same route, you know all of the non superstitious things that we all do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I try and ride the course the week before, (if it's local), failing that, I drive round it on the day of the race.
Pack all the gear, and bike the night before.(not forgeting the bog roll)
Driving to the race, Anarchy in the UK, will be played, flat out 2 or 3 times.
I try and get there at least an hour before.
then its just a matter of signing on, and chillin before the warm up.
I normally have a chinese the night before, I've had my best result on a chinese, Don't know why and never will as its mainly oily food, (special fried rice (carbs) and chicken and Cashews(protein))
on the day I take a bottle of gatorade in the car and listen to old skool Garage at Near enough full volume.
