Is it to add strength to the carbon lay up via deflection on the frame or am I totally wrong ?
Im a bit nerdy when it comes to construction so I need to know these things :shy:

I suspect it's just because they can. And it helps differentiate carbon frames from more traditional ones.

If it was because they can they would be doing crazy shoot like they do with seat stays ?
I think its a construction thing .

I would think it's for strength in the design, If it was straight and you fell off the seat hard onto the top tube, it would be able to support more weight being curved rather than straight. OR!! i could be talking total rubbish as i don't really have a clue:rolleyes:.
