On the old forum software I had the 'New content' page bookmarked in my browser (IE8) 'favourites' and whenever I brought the page up from there it was refreshed with the up to date new content.
On the new software, I assume that the 'What's New?' section is supposed to be the equivalent page, but having bookmarked it in my favourites, it does not refresh with each visit, I just get the page that was new content at the time that i bookmarked it.
I have to click on the 'What's New?' tab at the top of the page to get the latest content.
How do i get a bookmark that will automatically bring up the most recent content?
I know that the index page has the latest posts in each section on the right hand side, but it's not as user friendly to look through than the 'What's New?' section.

Hope all that makes sense.

It does make sense - yes.

When you click What's New it's a two stage process - the request is fired off to ... http://www.cyclechat.net/find-new/threads ... which in turn brings back a listing with the latest thread number attached.

Just edit your bookmark and make it - http://www.cyclechat.net/find-new/threads - instead and it should get the latest items each time.

Cheers,
Shaun

Ok, there's a number in that link you gave me above (http://www.cyclechat.net/find-new/25310/threads) which seems to increase over time.
But, when saved as a favourite it saves the address with that number as at the time you save it, so when you go back later and try to get it from favourites you end up with the 'whats new' page from the time that you saved the 'bookmark' and not the current 'whats new' stuff

Ok thanks I'll try that, I just clicked the link you gave me earlier and saved the page it linked to, I misunderstood.
I'm not sure how to edit the bookmark directly but will have a go.

Success! Managed to edit it in the favourites folder via windows explorer. Thanks.
A tad late for this one, now, but next time you can just right click on it in your favorites (rather than the usual left click) and then click on properties to show the URL of the link.
