What would be the next step up from standard Wheels for my Spec Allez elite ?

I use the bike for dry rides at weekends and the occasional Sprint Triathlon.

Mavic Aksiums ? A friend swears by them. I've not got huge amounts of spare cash to spend BTW.

£150 is'nt going to buy you any wheels that will be a great deal different from the ones you have already, your best thing is to save a little more, maybe double what you have then think about shopping around

I've got a pair of Ksyrium SL's you can have, I'll even throw in a pair of mavic cosmos and some wheel bags if you want them.

The wheels have done about 1600 miles and the rear wheel needs to be trued. They are on my road bike which I don't ride anymore and would want them to go to a good home. I've had a look at your bike online and these would look nice on them. You can have the lot for £150

Dibbs if he doesn't want the Krysiums??

I put Askiums on my Sirrus (winter bike) and they've been great a vast improvement on the factory fitted Alex rims and great pound per punch. As it my winter bike I wouldn't have a moments hesitation in buying another pair. My summer bike has much lighter campy Khamsin and I'd be targeting something similar when they are replaced.

Go for the Ksyriums. Anything tends to be better than the stock wheelset. These are light and reasonably aero.

I was in the same boat and got pair of Easton Circuits (I think that is the name) for about £250. Get good reviews for the heavier rider and mine have been fine. But I'll be buggered if I could prove any difference in speed because of them

Lee - I am extremely gutted to say i'm going to have to pass. Yesterday of all day the washing machine decided to dump dirty water all over the floor so what cash I thought we had spare is now gone. Sorry and thanks again.
