Hi, i am looking to upgrade my wheels. Currently i have mavic cxp22 which came with my bike and they are good for the winter months but i would like something lighter for the summer. I am thinking about £200 for the set maximum. What would be my options? Thanks for all replys.

TBH, I wouldn't bother until you can affort a bigger step up. £299 would get you a pair of Pro-lite Bracciano.

Well I haven't googled your current wheel's but I am making a bit of a sweeping assumption that they are stock wheels of approx £100 value, weight of 1800-1850g or so. Jumping up to £200 wheel's will not offer that much of a jump in quality or spec, you will just be replacing one set of entry level wheels with a slightly more expensive set of entry level wheels, spending £300-400 would return a larger upgrade.

Mavic CXP22's are just the rims. It depends on the hub and the spokes used as well as to their quality.
As Rob3rt says if you can go a bit further price wise you get a better wheelset. For upto £200 you are looking at Mavic Aksiums, Planet X Al30's, Fulcrum Racing 5's all good wheels but at £300 plus you start looking at basic level Mavic Ksyriums, Pro Lite Braccianos etc. It depends what you are trying to achieve with the upgrade.

I have CXP22 rims on Ultegra hubs with some heavy gauge spokes .... they're pretty much indestructable, but on the heavy side.

Id also as a minimum go for handbuilts as suggested Mavic Open Pros on 105 hubs and good butted spokes.
Otherwise you're looking at £300 plus for Mavic Kysriums.
Good light wheels are an absolute joy.

Cpx22 are pretty standard box section rims, it's the 33's that are aero.

I don't think you'll notice much from a 200 pound set as others have said, once you get to about 350 quid you can look at things like Fulcrum 3 which weigh a touch over the 1500g mark so I'd keep saving personally.

Pro-lites are £299 and weigh sub 1500g, spec for the money is unbeatable, hand built wheels too.

Formula hubs and cxp22 rims are all very basic - however, £200 will only get you a pair that are slightly better and probably not noticeable on the road.

£300-400 will get you a wheelset with an obvious and noticeable performance improvement

You can get a pair of Shimano RS80 carbon laminate wheels for £320
