What are you actually asking?
Is reliability you main concern or is performance a consideration?

I have relied on Schwalbe Marathons for many years now, but no tyre is totally puncture proof. It is best to avoid riding through glass, so keep a watch on where your track runs. If unavoidable, it often helps to stop immediately after going through glass to check your tyres - the glass will usually stick in the tread before being pushed deeper in, and so a puncture can be avoided by sweeping bits out before the damage is complete. I don't see that the rim has any bearing on the matter, unless the tyre width does not match the rim width.
