im looking at two different tyers there both panaracer one is the fire xc and the other is the cinder what will be the best one to go for?? also will i be better getting the folding type or the wire ones thanx lee!!

Both of those are trail tyres and fairly slow for road use...so depends what kinds of surfaces\riding you want them for.

Folding tyres weigh less than the equivalent wired tyre and are also usually a bit easier to get on and off the rims.

Panaracer Fire XC Pro in 1.8 size is an excellent all round fast lightweight offroad tyre. It's especially good in winter as it cuts down through mud or snow to find grip. The rear will only last one season though, especially if you skid or ride on tarmac a lot.

For proper mountain riding something like a Specialized Fast Trak LK in 26x2.00 might suit you; it's quite light, fast and good in dry conditions and on grass. It has good grip on the sides of the treads, which is good on mountain riding because the ground can be unpredictable - it's not like you're riding on a man-made trail.
