I recently went on a bike trip to Lonavala with a bunch of my friends. I was riding my new Cannondale Badboy as I usually do in the city in my normal posture. On the way back, I noticed some chafing on my groin area. I don’t know whether it was something I wore. Does anyone else have such issues?

I had similar problems following a visit to Lonavala, but blamed it on the lady I met there, rather than the journey to and from.

You didn't mention what kind of shorts you were wearing, nor the distance involved or what the weather was like!

Lycra shorts (or baggies) IMO is the best material to wear as it is designed for cycling; it will prevent (or reduce chafing) and be comfortable. Also, underwear is best not worn under your shorts, as the item will become sweaty and most definitely cause chafing/discomfort.

There are various creams on the market that can be used to treat sweat 'burns', even a cream to rub in your shorts to prevent such a problem occurring.
