What to buy???

I am a keen Mountain biker but new to road riding (the dark side)! Only been doing it for about a year but concentrating on Mtb'ing so am not fully jen'd up on things but am very keen. So I need advice on what to buy as I‘m riding a old steel Raleigh that weighs more than my mountain bike (and possibly my car as well). I've got about £1000.00 to spend and have been eying up the Pinarello FP1. what is the opinion on this bike? what others should I try around this price bracket? All help will be very welcome as I'm stumped and don't have many roadie mates to help me.

Lots of bikes at that price range worth looking at. Worth looking at the Carbon 'Usual Suspects' at that price ie, Planet X, Ribble, Dolan.
Then you got the Aluminium bikes from the big hitters, Giant SCR, Specialized Allez, Trek1.7/9.
then you got others from smaller companies like Felt, Cube, Focus.

Just be sure to pick a bike for what you want, ie a racbike, a fitness bike, a crosser etc?

and i would be looking for at least a full 105 10 speed groupset minimum
