Anyone else having problems with OpenStreetMap being slow to load and showing nonsense?
Iv'e noticed the speed problem for weeks - maps partially appear very quickly, but then there can be a long or infinite pause to wait for the rest to appear. Refreshing or tweaking the zoom level generally prompts the missing data to appear, but not always.

Another issue is obvious corruption of road data at certain zoom levels, eg:

And even closer- - Norwood Grove and the one in Cyrillic definitely don't exist!

That one in Cyrillic means "Russia cesspool" or "Russia sh1thole".

Edited: looks like it's been hacked. When looking on a smaller scale there are loads of Russian phrases like "Rubl die", "Russian ship go &^^%", "Russian men are pedofiles" and so on.

I had this problem using Plotaroute yesterday, glad to say it seems to have resolved itself so now all OK.

Some zoom levels still looking very wrong, but overall it's mych better than yesterday.

Thus has been going on for a few days; i hope there's a way to prevent the damage being so extensive.

Looks like they have built a relief road for the South Circular cutting right through Catford. It has the unusual name of РОССИЯ СДОХНИ УЖЕ which according to Google means "Russia die already"

Spoke too soon, it's back, somebody seems to have it in for South Hampshire for some reason.

Description of the vandalism here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/have-you-spotted-vandalism-on-openstreetmap-org/114684.
And a 2 month old discussion here: https://community.openstreetmap.org...wrong-white-lines-abusive-comments-etc/111583

I've skimmed, and it seems like the vandalism is easily fixed in the central database, but keeps recurring. And the problem seems to be compounded by DDoS attacks that overload the cache servers, preventing them from loading fresh imagery. Well, that's what I think it meant.
