What soft-shell jacket?

I want a packable soft shell jacket that doesn't cost over £100. Any ideas??

My favourite soft shell is the Endura Jetsream. Its light and breathable and keeps me the right temperature. Its actually down as a jersey but its more of a jacket

The only jacket i have is a Endura Windchill II - can get a little sweaty while going up inclines but it gets the job done. Has all the vents in the right places. I just turn it inside out to dry it when I get home.

The Castello Gabba is meant to be the best.

I have a Bontrager RXL soft shell and it is amazing, though I'm not sure they are still available.

Most of my other kit is by Sportful, and I've never been let down by them.

I have two different softshells

One is a sportful, the other is the rapha team sky softshell. Both do the job very well indeed

I have this (or one very similar) http://www.wiggle.com/dhb-asv-roubaix-long-sleeve-jersey-1/, and I'd wear it in light rain, but not much more. I also get pretty sweaty in it. It's got quite baggy sleeves. 4/7.

Re the OP, I don't think you will find a "packable" softshell. I have a few different softshells and the lightest warmest and thinnest is a Gore Oxygen. It is way to bulky to be considered packable though. The best compromise would be to wear a winter jersey and then stick a wind proof packable jacket or gillet over the top. This is cost effective and allows you to layer for changing conditions.

How about the Sportful Fianre No Rain Top? It just about folds down to fit in my Jersey pocket, it's wind proof and water resistant.

So many great choices thanks. I've been offered a great condition second hand Rapha rain jacket for £60 which would have been pushing £200 new. Think I'll sleep on this.

If I don't go for the Rapha I'll most likely go for this. Will be perfect for my road and MTB adventures.

Just thinking the same, gore do an active shell which is windproof, showerproof and packable. I take it with me in the warmer months.
