so, i've nearly finished doing my cyclocross bike now but i can't decide what size tyres. i don't want full on cross tyres as my commute is 25 miles. well to be honest i will probably use my road bike for the full commute and this bike for the half commutes (when i combine it with the train) so i decided i want these city tyres http://www.wiggle.co.uk/schwalbe-marathon-reflective-kevlar-city-tyre/
so my next question is What size? I want my cross bike to be comfier than my road bike (to absorb potholes etc). i want the tyres to look chunkier than the road tyres that are currently on it (well, that is the point of a cross bike right? i mean, those skinny tyres just don't look right to be honest) and to maybe go down tow paths and stuff, and also to cope with the huge potholes and cracks that have opened up everywhere, but then i also want it to be quick still in case i decide to do the full commute on it.
i was thinking the 700 x 32c? or should i go for the 28c's?
Is there much difference? will the 32's be chunky enough (to look right) but hard work or will the 28's be better but not chunky enough to look right? or is the difference negligible?
or, if you have any other suggestions, happy to hear them. basically want low rolling resistance but chunky look.
