Hi,
I own a Dawes 401 "hybrid", 2011 model with an RST Neon suspension fork.
I've since moved over to a road bike for most uses, but the Dawes is still used as a poor weather bike. However, again since having the road bike, the Dawes now feels like a right tank. I would be able to shed around a kilo by ditching the fork, I always ride it locked out anyway. The A to C of the RST Neon is 470mm with 60mm travel.
I've seen the Salsa Cromoto 29er which would seem to be around the closest dimensionally (465 A to C). Would this be a good replacement fork should I decide to do this? Any other suggestions?
And yes I know I could lose a kilo by eating less
