Well here it is a 2007 M3R not looking its best!

Fortunately it was super-cheap and after a thorough assessment, I’m in to around £250 of parts to bring back to a presentable bike, it needs a lot! But there should still be a profit in it.

However the good news is that it hasn’t had much use, just abandoned and dumped in a garden! it is very rusty but I’m confident I can sort all that out. The tyres are the originals, they’re not cracked and hold 80 psi, the main frame although faded is not that scratched, so my plans are to strip it right down and sort the frame out first. It’s going to be a big job!

Good luck with it. That rear looks like it could be toast though.

Hopefully not too bad when you've stripped it back.

Worst case scenario I’ll put a used triangle in, but it looks worse than it is, I’m pretty confident I can save it.

After careful consideration; the Mclaren F1 team's house colour is orange.

So maybe put it on ebay as "Might have been used by Lewis Hamilton in 2007!"

What about suitable for L'Erocia folders?

I spotted that on marketplace and thought about going for it but just a bit too far away.

Crumbs. That's a project! It's like the rest of the bike is jealous of the orange frame so doing its damndest to catch up

Just tried a bit of cutting paste on the frame and it looks like it’ll come up well. But main focus is to detach the rear triangle and see if it’s salvageable

I’ve done quite a few Brompton‘s now, this is by far the worst but just makes it a bit more of a challenge.
