I have just bought a Ladies Claude Butler Urban 200 off Ebay, just for nipping round to the shop, while major road works are being done and to save having a two mile detour in my car for the next six months.
I am thinking of buying a child seat for the bike and have seen one, it says "not for Y frame bikes".
But I dont know what type of frame it is, how would i know whether it is a Y frame?
Thanks

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Your typical full suspension MTB is a y frame...no where to attach the bike seat as most have a clamp on the seat tube to hold the seat on.

Thanks for that, i think it is making sense to me. I hope this picture shows up, it doesnt look like there is room for a seat.

Two thoughts... there are different fittings and any good bike shop could advise on fit

Secondly - there is always a trailer!

yes, that weird type of frame design will make fitting a child seat difficult but not impossible.

Hamax sell extensions/extenders to enable their child seats to fit smaller frames - such a device would allow you to fit one on this bike (probably)
