I watched Liverpool vs Exeter - a documentary on the mediocrity of a once great team delivered in too many episodes for me to want to continue watching them.

Have to confess I didn't much enjoy the Spain one - I tried the first episode, but found windbag-montefiore pompous and unenlightening enough to outweigh the photography, which was undeniably stunning.

Watched Amy last night, about the staggering talent & sad waste that was Amy Winehouse. Very good I thought. Apparently her Dad has called it 'preposterous'. You can see why he mightn't like it. He doesn't come out of it well.

I watched The Joy of Logic on iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03k6ypz

...and then started to watch Making of a Murderer on Netflix while on the turbo in Zwift... so not exactly 'Netflix and Chill'!

The true story covered in the Netflix documentary series I first heard about on Radiolab, while out cycling. It seems to be where I get most of my brainfood :smile:

Watched Amy last night as well. Unlike the poster above I thought her dad came out of it better than I would have thought. A vile man that caused more problems than he solved with her life and addictions.

Such a waste of talent, real shame.

I also have Cartel Land to watch, think I will put that on this evening.

on interesting fact on decompresssion sickness or the bends is that the building of the Brookyln bridge helped immensely in the treatment and understanding of the the sickness due to the number of workers who suffered...
It did indeed, due to the pressurisation of the Caissons, for the foundations

It's covered in depth, in this book, which is on my shelves;
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/495955.Seven_Wonders_of_the_Industrial_World
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/british/victorians/seven_wonders_01.shtml
Mine's got the older cover though

Odd facts; Ron Cook, who played Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the TV series, was cast as Parker, in the (Jonathon Frakes directed, 'live action' version of) 'ThunderBirds'
Mark McGann (one of the quartet of actor brothers) played Joseph Bazalgette

I've also got the book about Bazalgettes London Sewerage woks (no, really!!!, I have) 'The Great Stink'
