started doing cycling over the last few months a did a 54 charity cycle the other day...

having gone through a few different bikes, 29er, hybrid, flat bar racer which i did like, i now dont have one.

so now that i am a bit fitter, would i be able to make a 29er move quicker on the road....

i really did like riding it..

Can you get slick tyres in that size, normally helps MTBs?

29ers use 700c size wheels (622mm diameter) so something like a touring tyre or a slick would make it a bit quicker on the road.

As long as you pick the tyre size appropriate to your rim width there should be no issues. Size chart here to give an idea.

As said above, but you'd be better off long term with a bike for road. 29ers and proper MTB's are really for fun off road.
