Ok, so this has been asked a million times if not more.
I am after a rain jacket for my commute from 3 miles to 10 miles or more depending on what time I leave my house etc.
Problem I have is that I run very hot and so start get warm rather quickly, just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a jacket that has zip vents etc..
Was looking at the Mavic H20 or dhb 2.5EQ jackets, but if there are any others that I should be considering...
Thanks

The Castelli Pocket Liner jacket has zip vents in the armpit area, although I am not sure it would be classed as a commuting jacket due to it being a little on the more expensive side. It will keep you dry though and is also breathable.

Being a hot-running sweaty bastard I also struggled to find the right kind of jacket. Possessing an aerobelly also means that many jackets don't fit me well either so I end up in a sweaty straight jacket.
However ....
One of the hardened Audax community turned me onto this:

At £180 it's not cheap, but it seems to work really well and is a very versatile all-round jacket, not just for cycling. Venting is good and the material seems to breathe better than most including gore-tex. I've not had many monsoons yet but so far so good in average rain.
It's very comfortable on the bike, the front pocket is very useful and the cut suits a slightly *ahem* fuller figure. It's very light to wear and the fabric is also comfortable.
There is a downside, it's not superlight and it's bulkier than many, however as you can keep it on over a wide range of weather conditions it's bulk is a small issue.
It's become my everyday 'go to' jacket.
