I'm 14 and looking to get a road bike, I will ride it every week but not too far maybe 20-40 miles per week. I'm looking to spend £300 no more. I saw the Carrera zelos half price at halfords and I'm not sure whether to buy it or not. But i also saw advice about the Tirbin 3 and now I have no clue what to buy, if none of them are suitable for me please say, thanks. PLEASE HELP!!!

Triban 3. Go to decathlon and get their advice
Or look for something second hand. Just check it's history with the seller. Get an adult's help

The carrera is only just worth the sale price , ignore hallfords full rrp prices on bikes as they are like DFS,

Would have to agree - the Triban 3 either new or second hand.

Ignore the Halfords sale there's one along every other week - do your research find the bike that's right for you then find the best price.

The Triban by general concensus is the best new bike choice for your budget. Don' forget you are still growing and in two or three years you will have outgrown it, but you will still be able to sell it on for a good price. You could go second hand but it's a bit of a minefield for a beginner, best go to a shop where you will get advice on sizing and wharever else you may need. Don't forget a helmet , lock and track pump. Good luck.

I also have one, 1/2 as good as my best bike which cost 3 times as much. Rarer than rocking horse doodoo, but try and get hold of a red one as it has the carbon front fork.
Otherwise look second hand

Check your local Decathlon, find out what size frame you need, and if you possibly can, get the red Triban 3. You may get lucky with a cancelled order or something, like we did. Otherwise go for the white version, still a very nice bike, and excellent value for money.
