What bike do I actually have?

Afternoon,

In 2009 I bought a bike (a hybrid, ashamedly, and an unridden one at that), and I've googled the buggery out of the name on the frame and nothing comes up. It's got Diamondback Edge 50 stickered on it, it's silver with a front disc brake, crappy Chinese wheels on it and a Shimano Tourney cassette/drivetrain.

I can't find anything from the manufacturer website, and I can't find anything from the website of the shop I bought it from (Ashamedly, again, JJB.... I was naive!), so I'm stumped.

I'll post a photo in a bit.

You have a DB Edge 50.

It's not this year's model which is prolly why you are having trouble finding it. Diamondback were once quite highly regarded - as a BMX brand first of all (they inspired the establishment of Mongoose, initially a BMX brand. Diamond back = snake, Mongoose = snake predator. Yawn.) and for a short period between 1992 and 1994 for their chromoly mountain bikes.

Now however, as a result of their decline in favour as a victim of consumer faddishness they are a wholly pwned subsiduary of Raleigh (spit) of Nottingham Ltd.

I found a lot on Raleigh, who I've heard of and I found a lot on Diamondback BMX bikes but nothing on hybrids, even the 2010/11 models.
