After several years of commuting service my old faithful back pack is in need of replacing and am looking for any suggestions from fellow cyclists. It needs to be approx 25 litres and althogh primarily to be used for commuting will see some active service on leisure rides and shopping expeditions.

Thank you

I've gone full circle from Chrome Metropolis via, panniers, Brompton front luggage, Carradice and 2 strap backpacks, back to Chrome Citizen (24L versus 45L of the Metropolis). IMO totally unbeatable for quality and waterproof - ness and convenience and comfort.

I've had a DHB Elsted 30l back pack for a few years now, and it's been absolutely brilliant.

After years of back pack use I also tried panniers, but TBH I just didn't like the feel of them on the bike and simply never got used to them.

The Elsted is well ventilated, and as such I never had any comfort issues while using it, although TBH my commute was only a short one I'd still recommend this every time.

Sadly I think the Elsted has now been replaced by the SLICE, although it looks generally very similar so I suspect should be equally as good as the Elsted has been IME.

Mine is on the way out and the DBH looks like a good one, cheap and with an added rain cover, so well worth the money.

New rucksack arrived yesterday and although not had the opportunity to use it yet , i am already quite impressed the with quality and features it has. Cannot see any reason why it wouldnt suit my commuter needs.
Absolute bargain for 25 quid
