When I first got my bike I thought I had ample free space on my handlebars. I had a light, a bell (as standard), and after a few weeks I bought myself a cheap computer from Sainsbury's. And there was still space left.

Months have gone by, and as they have I've acquired an Airzound; another front light; and bar ends which have eaten up 15mm or so. And today I fitted a mount for my Muvi Atom, sacrificing the Airzound (although it had already been removed during cleaning). There is very little room remaining, and I'm left juggling lights/comps/horns/etc trying to come up with the best configuration.

So I'm wondering, what do you all have on your handlebars? Are you a minimalist one-lighter, or are you like me - trying to cram just about everything in?

A bell a 'puter and a sprig of lucky white heather.

Two lights (Hope Vision1 and a commuter), GPS moved to the stem. I'm considering an Airzound but I can shout loudly so not sure yet...

I have a garmin edge 500 just to the left of the stem, then 2 cateye uno's, one near each brake lever, then either an exposure joystick for the dark back roads or a hope vision 4 for off road trips! It it looks quite minimalist even with all those on, probably because my bars are 760mm wide!

I've got a bell, a light fitting though the light isn't always on there (tends to be on in the morning and then chucked in my back on the way back unless its really gloomy), a computer, space for where the Hope light goes if I'm riding at night, and rather weirdly a paper ring that was put on my bike during a bike breakfast promoting the Bike Festival last September... no idea why I haven't removed it.

On mine a Computer, Garmin Edge 605, Light Mount for Fenix LD20, and also room for a small Backup Light which is set to Flashing when darker.

the leisure bikes just have a simple 8 function computer, but the commute bike...

computer, hope vision 1 main light, two smart 3led back up/flashers, horn and cheap hassle free old style shifters.

it is fitted with extra wide bars at the moment cos of the snow and ice we had this year

Depends what bike we are talking about; the hybrid (mickle just loves that word really ;)) is most laden. It has brackets for 2 lights (at the moment I run a Cateye 520, solid and a smart bspoke 1/2 watt, flashing; in the summer I'll just carry the smaller smart). A wired Aldi bikemate computer. There is also a bracket for a seldom used ATC5K. There is also a mini flick bell, I must admit its rarely used but it doesn't cause any real problems and it shuts up folk who want to moan along the lines of, he's not got a bell. On the stem is another bracket for a Topeak phone bag. I did once entertain the idea of a space extender bar but that is still sitting unopened in a box.

The road bikes on the other hand are relatively clutter free; there's usually nothing on the bars and a Edge 305 on the stem. Occasionally I fit a cateye 410 but that a self contained unit and is removed (bracket and light) easily. On the Kinesis, I have also put a tesco cree on it via a two fish lock block and Smart lights but these are also removed when not in use.

I mount my computers on the stem where possible, otherwise only my Dinotte- when I'm using it. I try to mount lights on the fork crown to keep them off the bars too. I like to ride with my hands very close to the stem sometimes and don't like stuff in the way.
