Finally purchased my triban 3 a couple of days ago!

I will be mainly using this bike for commuting to and from uni. So, my question is, what accessories do i need to buy?

Also, as i will be travelling to and from uni with a bag full of books i dont want to carry too much with me. What bike pumps are small, yet can manage to pump tyres up to a high enough psi?

[EDIT] Just realised this may be in the wrong section

Congrats on the purchase! It's an awesome bike

I use the topeak pocket rocket pump, compact and light and I don't have trouble pumping up my Triban 3 with it.

Carry a spare tube, multi tool, lights, tyre levers, puncture repair kit too.

The little Lezyne pumps are really good too, pressure drive/alloy drive etc. Puncture repair kit and spare tube, including some levers is pretty sensible. A multitool, even a cheapy one can rescue you too.

If you need lights, the smart lunar R2 is very bright and still about halfprice at about £13 at tredz, I have one on either seat stay. Dont think you can really beat it on value for money http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Smart-Lunar-R2-Rear-Light_39274.htm

Maybe a bottle/bottle cage if you think youd need a drink :P SiS 800ml bottles are pretty awesome and cheap

Exactly as above + specs, gloves and something to keep your ears warm [those autumn winds can be a killer].
With that lot you should be fine.

Everything.... you need everything.
Sometimes everything isn't enough and you need to get a couple of spare everything's just in case.

For example like most other humans i only own a single pair of hands.
But i have winter gloves, summer gloves, spare summer gloves and spare spare summer gloves.
My bike only has two wheels but i feel the need to have 5 spare inner tubes in the garage and one in my tool kit. Why oh why do i have 3 freewheels on my "bike bit's" shelf is anyone's guess.

Speaking of spare items, i have two bike hooks and only one bike.
This is causing much disharmony and is resulting in my ying being well out of balance with my yang.

How are you finding the Triban 3 ?
I hear nothing but positive comments and it would seem rude of me not to partake.

Haha, i can imagine that once you get into cycling its too hard to resist new gadgets and accessories. Im currently not at home so wont be able to use the bike for another 4 weeks yet. I had to wait 2 months for it to be ordered in as i needed the biggest size so its waiting for me when i get back.

As soon as i have taken it out i will let you all know how i get on!
