what do people use to avoid sodden feet ,,i have a bitb jacket that works well (if sweaty ,but i only commute 6 ml each way so its ok for that )and i have a good pair of regatta overtrousers that are fairly light ,,but tbh i wonder what people think of wearing overtrousers ,,do you just let the lycra get wet (i wear cycling tights)or cover up ?

and the feet ???spare socks in the locker at work?

6 mile commute? I would just take an extra pair of socks and change.

Lycra dries very quickly if it get's wet. Overtrouser's just give you that boil in the bag feeling especially in the milder months.

I have only warn my over-trousers once this year, that was when it was heavy rain, strong winds and only 5 degrees, even then, on reflection, I think I could have managed with just my winter longs.
At this time if year getting wet is not a problem especially with a change of clothes when I have arrived.

The best thing I did was to ride through the winter for the first time, once spring comes you realise how mild our weather is.

Used my sealskinz waterproof socks today. The rest of me was drenched but my feet were lovely and dry...
