Just wondering who's got bikes that have done lots and lots of miles once totted up.

Asking because I'll be doing the 10,000th mile on one this week, which I know isn't a lot but is still a nice milestone to pass. Only the second bike I am aware of doing this on.

How far have yours been?

My Tricross has only done about 4500 miles, and I still consider it to be new since I only bought it 18 months ago and it still looks good as new.

My older brother on the other hand has an old Trek hybrid of some description which he uses for commuting and covers 5k miles per year on it. He has had it for over 12 years now so reckons it has done about 60000 miles! Mechanically he keeps it in top notch condition, but cosmetically.............. well I wish I had a photo . His cost per mile must be quite impressive.

My now 5 year old Falcon Explorer Hybrid has done over 20,000 miles: about 2000 of those with a trailer behind it. So far all I have replaced is one tyre (and that is because it it exploded in the heat), several tubes and the brake blocks ..... I am still running on the original chain & sprockets. To my shame it has only been cleaned once in all that time, and the maintance carried out has been negligible...... but everything is in better condition than the general state of friends newer and an more expensive steeds.

My 2006 Sirrus has done over 10,000 miles its now almost permanently mounted to the Turbo.
My much neglected Ridgeback Velocity has done 8300 miles in 4 years but it done about 6000+ in the first 2 years.
My Kinesis has done a wee bit less 7800 miles in 2 years (next month, happy birthday Kinesis).
In comparrison my Bianchi has hardly been used just 4250 miles in 4 years.
In all its nothing compared to the posts above :becool:
