Weldtite Grease Gun

What is the best way to clean out this type of grease gun? I am using Finish Line Teflon grease at the moment. Also, how long can the grease be left in the chamber before it contaminates/goes 'off'?

Well, I wouldn't have thought so either, just didn't know if it could contaminate in the gun or not, that's why I asked.

Mine works brilliantly. I'm still on the tube of grease that came with it.

Weldtite grease is excellent. Still have plenty of Finish Line grease to get through yet, though. Motorex grease is also very good.

So is this a decent one or are there better alternatives?

Dumb question but how is it filled? My grease is in a jar.

I use that gun branded as halfords along with the grease they sell , i screwed the grease tube onto it and left it there.
