I am looking for a website that will general advice and information on healthy lifestyle, getting and keepng fit and how to control weight.

Non-cranky and non pill taking much preferred. Is there such a thing out there?,

www.bodyrock.tv is quite good, mainly for watching the bird work out though

www.menshealth.co.uk is worth checking out but also worth buying the magazine too.

Flipping heck Gaz, you're almost down to my weight and you are 2 or 3 inches taller than me! What's more, you will lose a lot more pounds when you finally have surgery to remove the loose skin. I must pull my finger out and get my mere 3 stone off!

I am trying mate, I know that if I had surgery I would now be a "normal" weight, but truth is I still have 4 stone of skin holding me back from my full potential , once its gone though.......Even Cav will be looking over his shoulder

If that is an accurate estimate of how much the loose skin weighs then you surely don't want to be losing much more weight now? At 12-and-a-bit stone I started to look gaunt. You look about the same build as me but a bit taller so you must be close to your ideal weight from both the health and fitness point of view (loose skin taken into consideration).

You are obviously already feeling great on the bike, but I tell you - you have a treat in store once you are actually 12-13 stone! Last time I achieved that weight, my hill climbing was transformed without any loss of strength on the flat.

I hope you manage to get the surgery done soon and that it all goes well for you.

Granted its all skin now, Just need to wait for the NHS funding, thats another 12 months, in that time I cant gain weight, so I am going to carry on and give myself a buffer "just in case"

You make a good point about climbing, im such better/can actually do it now LOL and I seem to be getting faster on the flats, so fingers crossed that will continue once I hi 12/13 stone and then there will be no stopping me, not that there is now like

Thanks again for all your support, its been a blast starting this journey, long may it continue !!!!
