You can never go too far wrong with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish IMO.

Forget the wax or polish, just get your @rse on it and ride the darned thing. Life's too short for bike waxing surely to god!

+1

The only exception is the longevity of this stuff used by itself is not very good. It contains fillers to hide imperfections. One coat of this and two coats of Auto Glym's Extra Gloss Protection and you won't need to wax/polish for a few months.

Lot of people would think this os OTT. But if you want the bling:biggrin:

hi can anyone recomend a wax or polish to put on a bike after cleaning cheers:smile:

Cleaning?

On Saturday morning I was out with two other guys for a run. One used to be a roadie, keeps his bikes spotless including his RockHopper. The two of them slow right down for puddles!

At one point we were on a dirt track through the trees and I was at the back. The two of them slowed right down to tiptoe round the edges of a puddle covering most of the track. Couldn't resist it, I blasted through the middle of the puddle to the sound of splashes, yells and moans. Happy days :0)

I wipe my bike with baby wipes when it's hanging up. I just wipe bits off when I see them appear, don't bother getting down to marathon bike cleaning sessions!

Now the MTB is different of course, but my frame is powder coated so it's not possible to polish it, and I wouldn't bother even if it was.

I hose my bike down if it's really sh**y but that's it. The moving parts get looked after and I try to keep rust away but dirt on the frame doesn't bother me. Pointless cleaning a MTB as it just gets black again the next time you take it out. Also, if you make keeping it clean an issue I'll effect they way you use it, as my mates prove.

As I've said before, my bike serves me, not the other way around.
