Waterproof trousers

I am after some waterproof trousers for my 6 mile trip to and from work. I would like to have a pair which are padded but cannot find any.
Dont really want to go down the route of trousers and carrying waterproof overtrousers for when it rains.
Can anyone suggest anything which fits the bill.

Thermal roubaix bib longs will keep your legs warm even when wet and won't make you sweat like waterproof trousers would.

I tend not to sweat too much around my legs and in the heaviest rain I get away with wearing my hill walking waterproof trousers, either over my cycling shorts or Ronhill leggings.

They're Berghaus gore-tex lites and stuff down into a very small carrybag, but you would still have to carry them or wear them. They have press-studs around the ankles and tighten up lovely so never get snagged.

Unfortunately my upper half more than makes up for the lack of sweat further down, so I still end up wringing my shirts out when I wear my waterproof jacket.
