I'm in need of some waterproof trousers as the weather abit wet and I don't fancy getting to work wet, can someone recommend any decant trousers?

Get them too thick and they will probably become boil in the bag. Until a driver kindly ripped them up last week I used Montane Featherlite Pants as they are vey compact to carry and not to thick (they do lose something in the waterproofness there if it a longer ride) its a trade off of waterproofness/ breathability. My journeys wearing them are generally to short to build up a sweat and I like to think I don't sweat much anyway.

I seem to recall someone trying out some waterproof front type things for commuting. Seemed like a sensible idea if you have guards on your bike and definitely less boil in the bag than any trousers you are likely to get at a sensible price.

Ive got the Altura night vision ones . Easy to get your feet into with shoes on and the straps at the bottom stop the leg flapping near the chain . Ive not done over 10 miles in them so cant say if they are boil in the bag or not . the only thing I don't like is theres no slot in the sides to get to your pockets but then again they are water proofs .
Edit to add , the legs have three positions for adjustment that fold up and clip inside to get the right fitting for your legs .

I use some Altura ones for 15 min journeys and they keep you dry. There's condensation on the inside if you go much further than that. There's no other branding on them so I can't tell you what particular type they are. NB Mine are extra large but come up too short in the leg (I'm 6'3")

Might be. I have a feeling @cyberknight tried them.
Indeed, i carry these in my panniers all the time as they pack down small enough for a side pocket and keep the rain off the top of the legs where you tend to get wet the most , mudgaurds take care of the lower legs mostly and as said they are not boil in the bag like other full waterproof trousers i have tried.
