Can anyone suggest a decent pair? I got a Waterproof, jacket, trousers, hat and overshoes but my gloves got sodden after 5 miles in rain.

Can anyone suggest a good pair of waterproof gloves to buy?

Morning!

These are the ones I was told where good for the cold and to keep dry:

Not tried them yet, but look good.

I've never found any that are truly waterproof. I do have the above gloves and like them but again they eventually let in the water. But I am about to buy another pair so they can't be too bad.

I'm a Sealskinz fan.. Even when the water does get in, they keep your hands warm. Also used some neoprene ones for years. Water gets in but warms up next to the skin like a wetsuit.. Toastie!

Motorbike gloves could be extremely warm for cycling.

Gloves might be of excellent waterproof material but it takes a bit of time and practice to address the large hole which every glove has so you can put your hand inside. In other words, it's no good being waterproof if the rain runs down your wrist.

Also, IMO, waterproof isn't the goal, not getting cold is important.

Sorry for late reply.

Thanks for the help all. Going to get a pair of the Sealskinzs, 3 people recommended so I'm sold.

If they keep you warm even if the water gets in that'll be perfect. The pair I got were like wearing a pair of wooly gloves in the rain and my fingers were numb by the time I got home.

I also have a pair of these, was never that impressed on there waterproofness. I do use them this time of year but find them insufficient for the winter, where I use a pair of thermal gloves I bought for under a fiver off the market.

EDIT: I have lost these gloves the very next day, as I overdressed and took them off mid route, now they are gone...perphaps Karma for dissing their full winterness.
