Watch out if you ride around Maidstone / Pilgrims Way areas - Barbed Wire trap found

Unfortunatly someone has seen fit to leave a barbed wire trap right strew across a popular trail that descends from Wormshill to the Pilgrims Way.

Found by a member of the Kent Trails group https://www.facebook.com/groups/275396089169335/ police have been informed and fortunately have been straight down there to take a look and do the bizzo.
Be careful if you're riding around that area as they still don't know who's done it, or why.

Bizarre.

From the picture it's attached to some rather flimsy branches, rather than bound to tree trunks as I had first imagined. So I'd say likely to cause injury, but not decapitate.

Even more dangerous, if one end comes adrift it would have acted like a chainsaw........................at throat height.


The mentality of some 'people' beggars belief.
